Little Seed Field is a relaxed, rural wedding venue on a working family farm near Ripon, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of Nidderdale and the Yorkshire Dales. Our rustic Owl Barn, woodland, courtyard and outdoor spaces give couples the freedom to create a wedding that feels personal and completely their own. We specialise in extended weekend celebrations, intimate weddings and relaxed countryside celebrations surrounded by nature.

Couples can choose to marry in our characterful Owl Barn or, season depending, hold their ceremony outdoors in our beautiful woodland and waterside setting. Yes. Our quirky, cosy on-site glamping accommodation sleeps up to 27 guests, allowing you to extend your wedding into a multi-day celebration. There are also one or two spaces for campervans, the option of hiring extra space for a bell tent field and lots of local options for more traditional accommodation.

Staying on site means you can enjoy more time with your closest friends and family before and after the wedding, sharing the anticipation and extending the celebrations.

Our smaller wedding options allow you to celebrate with the people who matter most, without feeling like you are in a big empty space are being charged for a space you just don’t plan to fill.

Our elopement package for two can include accommodation, witnesses, flowers, a celebratory drink and a mini cake, with additional elements such as catering and photography available for you to add or organise yourselves. If you would like to add just a handful of guests, that is fine too. We are all about flexibility and personalisation at Little Seed Field.

Yes. We believe your wedding should reflect you. Rather than a standard package, couples hiring Little Seed Field can choose their own suppliers, including caterers, florists, photographers and entertainment. 

We also have a selection of trusted Yorkshire suppliers we can recommend if you'd like some help getting started. Our flexible approach is particularly suited to couples planning a DIY, festival-style or alternative wedding.

Yes, our outdoor spaces are perfect for this. If you're looking for a wedding venue where you can put your own stamp on the day, Little Seed Field could be a great fit.

Our woodland and waterside setting looks great with the addition of a tipi or marquee – think garden games, fairy lights and dancing under the stars. This space can host up to 120 guests and we are happy for couples to bring their own suppliers and create something beautiful, fun and bespoke.

Because we have several options, you can mix and match to find the style and size that works best for you.

The Owl Barn provides an intimate indoor setting for ceremonies, blessings and dining for up to 40 guests, which can be extended into the courtyard under a canopy for up to 100 guests. Our outdoor woodland space can accommodate larger celebrations using a marquee or tipi, with weddings of up to 120 guests.

We also have on-site glamping accommodation for up to 27 guests, making the venue particularly well suited to couples who want their wedding to become a multi-day celebration.

Our larger wedding package includes two nights' accommodation for up to 27 guests, giving you the opportunity to arrive before the wedding, celebrate together and enjoy a more relaxed morning afterwards.

Having the venue and accommodation in one place means your wedding can feel more like a countryside house party or weekend gathering than a traditional one-day wedding.

We offer several example wedding packages designed to provide a starting point, while still allowing you to personalise your celebration.

All our weddings include wedding planning and wedding day coordination as standard.

We will always include the barn as a backup plan for your wedding ceremony if your plan A is to be outside.

If you plan for part or all of your day to be in the barn, bar hire and staff are always included.

You can choose to include the accommodation and either cover the cost for your guests or ask them to pay you a contribution towards that. Alternatively, your guests can hire the accommodation direct from us.

At Little Seed Field, we encourage couples to create a day that is personal to them. One that doesn’t feel like it has fallen off a wedding venue conveyor belt.

Our price guarantee - our fixed prices are the same whether you celebrate on a weekend in mid-August or a midweek in October. We never hike the price for the most popular times of year.

Little Seed Field is located between Ripon and Pateley Bridge in North Yorkshire. We are roughly an hour from Leeds, York and Skipton. We are quite remote, so public transport is limited, however there is an established taxi service in the area. The closest train station is Harrogate.
