Hello from Little Seed Field — a family-run glamping site, working dairy farm, and wedding venue nestled in the beautiful Nidderdale landscape near Ripon, in the Yorkshire Dales.

This is a place shaped by nature, history, and family. An ancient settlement where wildlife, grazing cattle, and guests come together in peaceful, open surroundings.

Our family has worked the farm since the 1930’s and we believe there is no place quite like it for wild beauty. We are far from a manicured holiday park and that is how we like it. Sharing, nurturing and protecting nature has always been and always will be, at the heart of what we do.

Our family has been farming this land since the 1930s, and today Little Seed Field is still very much a working farm as well as a glamping destination in North Yorkshire.

Sean, a fourth-generation dairy farmer, manages the farm, while Joanne leads our glamping and wedding experiences.

Farming is at the heart of everything you see here.

Guests are always welcome to learn more about life on the farm, from meeting the herd to understanding the milking process. It’s all part of staying somewhere real, rooted, and quietly special.

Animals and nature first

Caring for our animals on our wild site in the Nidderdale National Landscape is central to our passion for animal welfare and conservation.

We continuously seek best practices in animal health, land management and sustainable food production and you’ll see us working hard around the site to improve our carbon footprint.

Our cows are ‘free-range’ and spend as much of the year outside as possible, they can sometimes be seen wondering down through the glamping site!

We encourage you to learn more about farming, milk production and our heritage while you are here…ask as many questions as you like!
